The Ambry Cupboard is food and dry good storage cabinet dating from the 15th century. The pierced tracery carving allows ventilation and was backed by linen fabric to keep flies out. As a food cabinet, it was also referred to as a livery or dole cupboard. It is the precursor to the pie safe and the modern kitchen cabinet.
It is hand carved, made of solid oak and features hand forged hardware. Finished in poly-urethane.
